Frequently Asked Questions
In short, “the harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” Focusing on families referred by hospital social worker teams allows us to direct our resources to families at a time where we can maximize our impact. This allows us to provide what we believe is the greatest need for bereaved families – time to grieve and be with their loved ones. Fortunately, there are other organizations that offer loss and outreach services at different stages.
There is no job too small! If you have a talent you believe can benefit our mission and uphold our values please let us know. Our prayer partners are important volunteers that offer the briefest moments of time. We have aspirations of starting a “meal train” offering in the near future where you can serve by preparing a meal for a family in need. Our most “involved” role is the care coordinator, which averages 5-10 hours per week over the course of our engagement with a family (typically 2-4 weeks).
One of the greatest tools God has given us is a direct line to himself, the creator of the universe. Over and over the Bible speaks to the power and effectiveness of prayer. Our goal of requesting your prayers is simply to develop a network of Christ-followers that puts this beautiful gift into action for our families in need. While we will not disclose the names and details of the families we are working with, we will send you updates on our campaigns so that you know how to pray with us. These will typically come on a monthly basis.
