Beloved Parents,

If you’re reading this because you’ve lost your precious child our hearts go out to you.  This is truly a pain not meant to be shouldered alone.  One thing is certain – your child matters.  He or she was created by a loving God that desires to draw close to you, even in your deepest pain or hardest struggle.

When we first lost our precious Tate Benjamin, making sense of anything was confusing and terrifying.  The fog was thick and the God we so desperately wanted to cling close to seemed so far.  Then our community surrounded us.  Meals started showing up, friends and family helped us conduct a beautiful memorial service, and a God that seemed so distant became all too present through community.  It was all so sweet…bittersweet, but a blessing nonetheless.

Our desire is that you have this same sense of community as you learn to cope with such a significant loss.  Your child matters.  You matter.  If you are in need of anything as simple as a request for prayers or as big and daunting as conducting a memorial service for your own little one we are here for you.  Please tell your hospital social worker how we can best reach you so we can immediately jump into action.  May the Lord draw near to you and help you see through the fog in your time of need.

In Christ,

Lindsay and Bobby Stewart, parents of Tate Benjamin Stewart
